could only find the cups through honda oem parts which is very pricey.

can anyone comment on the needle bearings? When I took apart my axles, there was no pitting, however some of the bearings would rock a tad on the "peg". is this normal?

Yes you can buy just the cup and spider (comes as a set) for about $260 each delivered.
It's not too hard to do to just swap left cup to the right side and vice versa. And hella cheaper. To answer the earlier question, to remove the boot clamps I found that using wire stripping pliers (the cheap flat ones) works well to unclamp the clamps and to reclamp them once reinstalling. Make sure to regrease the cups well when reinstalling too. I think grease degradation over time is what causes the pitting to begin with.

I just swapped out all new axles & put spacers on. No more shakes. Did it all today also.
