Default Injector duty & EGT temps

Simple questions.

I'm FI, on approach home is a downhill, and I try to use compression braking, which should cool down the turbo.

1. When I'm using compression braking, my AFRs show 22.5, which is air. Are injectors shut off at that time, or do they still squirt gas?

2. For those of you with EGT gauges, do EGTs drop as you're using compression braking? (Which is using engine gear to slow down.)

You might want to post in the FI forum for answers from other owners with turbos.
