Default Information request on Throttle Body

What is the general consensus on replacing the OEM throttle body with one from King Motor Sport. Is this a good way to get some additional HP?

I think it would be best to get some form of forced induction first. Otherwise you will not notice a difference.
I wonder if it would help throttle response, which would tempt me...

I've heard it makes a noticeable difference, and is on my list of things to get once I start modifying the car.

If you think of the engine as a pump, you can see that the throttle body will make it's presence felt most when the exhaust system is allowed to breath better. Less restriction means better cylinder filling. I have one and it works.

The TB has no effect on peak HP. This has been shown repeatedly on the dyno (do a search). IOW, at WOT, the stock throttle body is not a bottleneck. However, a bored TB does have an effect on the perceived engine response, since it's effectively at WOT at a lower throttle angle.

All depends on what is rate limiting on the car. By that I mean if you have a stock air filter the throttle body diff would be minimal. If you have an intake and or an exhaust you may notice a great deal.

I dont know if this is any good but the OEM plenum is heated by circulating water and can get VERY hot thus sapping power, Biker1 has bypassed this with some piping and even after a good thrashing it stays nice and cold this is only a problem if you live in the north pole .
