under high engine speed conditions, the ITBs would really shine. on the street, all you'll notice is how quickly your oil gets dirty and how much you have to rev to get going from a standstill.

All the more reason to avoid standing still.

Why would the oil get dirty any quicker (assuming there is an air filter)?

That running ITB isn't really rocket science. I don't see why in a modern engine it would be difficult to tune them correct and have decent idle.

My bike idles at 1200 rpm, but I think that is more of a function of having a light flywheel that makes it necessary to have a high idle.

thanks. I admit that ITB's are really attractive to me. Is it just me or does the idea of having a square cut in the hood with four shiny horns sticking sound really cool?

I think the answer to your question was definitely 'No'. There aren't currently any ITB kits for the F20C.

M3 has ITB's. They are not that hard to tune if it's done by someone like UL.

One of the main benefits that you have with an ITB setup is that you can move the injector up or down the intake path. That changes the torque curve and engine characteristics considerably. The other major benefit is the much improved throttle response. I presume with our engines that would be a marked improvement.

For instance, my Ducati 998 had shower type injectors that fired before the butterfly valve. The feeling at wot was simply awesome. Butter smooth.

To answer the original question, no one is making a kit as of yet. There are many custom manufacturers out there that would be more than capable of building one, provided the interest was there.

If I could get commitment from 5-7 people, I could have a kit built. The cost would be about $2,500.00 and hp benefits would be around 20-25hp. It would also require a stand alone ecu.

I forgot one thing.

You also have the added adjustability of different length velocity stacks which moves the entire torque curve up or down. That would be very helpful going from one track to another, for instance.
