i predict your motor will asplode in less than a month. id imagine you have several cracked retainers. your lucky at this point that none of the valves have dropped. IF you get lucky, and its simply coils or something, ill E shake your hand. but most likely with all 4 random misses. you have cylinder pressure making back into the intake. goodbye to your motor if you dont have a pro look at it soon. get it repaired right and save thousands, or keep rodding it and have a broken s2k.

It doesn't idle too rough.

Why would I share this bad information? To prove a point that things aren't always as bad as they seem. And that 90% of the preventative maintenance that most of you do is just a waste. I changed my rear diff fluid for the first time at 144k miles and it came out looking like new. I've never gotten a valve adjustment or done any sort of engine work. The most costly repairs I've had to do was the clutch (damn that top starter bolt by the way) and headlight igniters.

Change your oil when it's due, keep throwing rear tires on every 10k miles and keep the top up. AC > 100 degree Texas heat. Don't drive the car like it's fast (because it's not) and your car will last a long time.

God I wish I would have bought an 03 cobra.
If it doesn't idle smooth, then that's a problem.

Hey, more like 95-99% of preventative maintenance is a "waste."

And 99.99% of times I wear my seatbelt it's a "waste."

And I'd bet you could find a few people that don't exercise and through good genes don't have any heart disease... so eating healthy and exercising is a "waste."

I don't mind what you do with your car as long as you don't whine when you have to replace the engine.

I hope I do have to replace the engine soon. I think dropping a LS1 in there will be fun.
