asplode is a funny way to say explode. Like "your head asplode."

Nevermind.

I did have it scanned. Pulled all the misfire codes. p301 etc.
Changed my spark plugs, map wack, injector cleaner. I was trying to steer clear of coil packs or injectors because what are the odds of all of them going bad at once?

Getting a valve adjustment in a few weeks when I have money. All I'm saying is when the engine light is flashing, in some cases, you don't have to tow the car immediately to Honda. The car will still drive and perform fine. =D

It was good enough to get your attention twice.

TAKE IT IN TO HONDA.

THAT SOUNDS LIKE A MUFFLER BEARING PROBLEM.

"good" wouldn't be the word I would choose.

why dont you bring it to a shop and have it diagnosed and replace the part thats actually broken instead of randomly replacing parts and possibly costing you more money overall? oh and if you drive around with a blinking cel, your will be damaged

because he thinks asplode is an appropriate diagnosis, and chooses to make repairs at random

RTFM.

The manual says something along the lines of "if your check engine light is flashing then there is a severe problem and the likelihood of catastrophic engine failure is high."

If you want to drive it till a rod shoots out the side of the block, then that's your prerogative. Just like it's our prerogative to think that you're an idiot for doing it... and posting about it.
actually that's not true....in the helm manual the blinking CEL for misfires indicates that you are misfiring bad enough to damage the cat. Now we tend to say tow to honda because in most cases, the blinking CEL is overrev related and if you drive it more you will do more damage. In this case, it could be any number of issues, from too much fuel at idle, vacuum leaks, to bad spark plugs, bad ECU, etc. For the OP if you don't feel you can diagnose this take it to a shop. It is the wrong approach to start replacing things without having a diagnosis. All you will do is cost yourself more money in the long run than if you take it to someone who knows what they are doing.

OK, so my quote was off... but doesn't it amount to the same result? If you're misfiring bad enough to damage the cat, I think that probably mean that you're misfiring bad enough to damage other engine components... therefore you risk catastrophic engine failure.

Either way, it's still my prerogative to think he's an idiot for continuing to drive like that while thinking that it's OK.
