Default I'm driving my car even though it's misfiring

Yeah, so my check engine light has been on for around 3-4 months, and it FLASHES when I stop at red lights and stop signs. Codes pulled are cylinders 1-4 misfire and a random misfire. Still drives like a champ all the way to nine k and I have no complaints.

Everyone always says if it's flashing to "OH MY GOD FLATBED TO HUNDA!!!!11ONE"
but my car seems fine. After four months I figure if it was going to asplode then it would have by now.

Discuss.

Changing the Title will help tremendously - Why would someone like Slow or Billman (or anyone with the technical know-how) read this with a title like that?

personally, i'd get it looked at and try to avoid driving it to 9k. i'm sure if you continue you will do some damage, if there isn't already some.

RTFM.

The manual says something along the lines of "if your check engine light is flashing then there is a severe problem and the likelihood of catastrophic engine failure is high."

If you want to drive it till a rod shoots out the side of the block, then that's your prerogative. Just like it's our prerogative to think that you're an idiot for doing it... and posting about it.

Just take it in to get a scan, cheaper than a motor and a hell of alot easier. Flashing check engine lights are no good.
