Injen also makes short rams... so you ran a full CAI, in Scotland, with no problems. Of course, its your decision, but I personally wouldn't risk blocwing my engine for a mere 3 hwp.
So, since you want to keep JDM parts on the car, I would go with the Spoon.

An Injen on a ctr does not relate to one on an S2000. Do a search and you will see why. The gist of what you will find is that the design of the S2000 engine compartment is such that when the car is parked in a heavy downpour for an extended period of time, the rain channels within the engine bay drain the water directly onto the filter element and the angle of the pipe just before the filter is pointed up, creating a water catchment. When the car is started next time, as much as 1/4 to 1/2 a quart of water can suddenly get sucked up into the engine. An "umbrella" of some sort must be fabricated to be safe.
Unless you have actual experience with such an intake on an S2000 your past experience is irrelevent. But you don't have to believe me or anyone else here. Go by your past experience and hope that your good luck continues. Those who have been on this board for a while and who have had this sort of intake are probably talking out our asses anyway.

God, it's like an old ladies knitting circle: I've been trawling these forums - new and old - for over a week now, hoping to find some lucidity on the subject of CAI vs SNORKEL. But I'm still as clueless as ever. I was all set for a snorkel but now someone's saying they sold theirs after a week. What's the problem with snorkels then? (if you get one, Bill, let us/me know how it performs - I'm not after massive HP, just a smoother low-end response).
