If you could pick a new rear end what would it be?

[QUOTE=Jsmply,Jul 6 2007, 12:23 PM] But if I remember right from your post, you put that rear end through a lot of tough times didn't you?

Yes, you are correct! FI and aggressive driving. I think the OP was talking about upgrading the rear in order to handle that kind of driving. Otherwise why bother?

You're talking about swapping a gearset and driving it gingerly. I assumed since you were posting in this thread that you had a need for a stronger rear. You'll never break a stock diff driving like that, much less an AP2 and 4.77s. But if that's the case, maybe you're kind of posting in the wrong thread....
Well . . . kinda but I wasn't saying the OP didn't need a new rear? It kind of depends doesn't it? There are several members of the board who are boosted and drive it hard and never blow the OEM. Xviper, Red MX5, Hardtopguy, that guy in California with the insanely high HP supercharged S (I forget his name right now) . . . so I was just throwing out my theory of ride the OEM until it does, and if does indeed die then go for an upgraded route instead of replacing the OEM unit.

Just a thought, if you know your going to blow a diff and want to do it now, then I don't think we have many options besides the Inline-Pro Nissan route (at least without custom fabrication which would be $$$). I think even the InlinePro route is around 3k?
