Default Idle Problems

What could possibly cause the car to intermittently loose its idle. Air Pump problems? Its not the MAP because thats been changed. And its not outside air temperature related. This just started up a few weeks ago. Sometimes it idles fine and sometimes it won't iddle at all.

Thanks xviper, I'll check it out this weekend. Has this been a problem area with the car?

Yes, I have read of a few cases where after replacement of the solenoid/valve mechanism, the situation was resolved. I cannot guarantee that this is your problem.

Now that I think about it, could the PCV valve have anything to do with this? The problem started shortly after I replaced it with a new one. I thinK i'll put the old one back in and see what happens.

I kinda doubt it. The venting (or not venting) of crankcase gases at idle should not have much affect. Your car is very heavily modified, it could be almost anything.

Yes it can be the pcv valve if it is aftermarket. Always use a factory(Honda) pcv vavle for all hondas.
