I've had the same problem before and it did lead to the IACV.

When you had the intake manifold off, did you clean it? When you cleaned it, did you take the IACV off first or clean the whole thing? I found that if you leave it on when cleaning the manifold, crap would settle in the IACV. After I pulled th IACV off, cleaned it separately and oiled the gasket before re-installing, it idled fine.

And I agree with R3DS2K...our temp gauge is does not respond quickly enough to temp changes to be accurately used to diagnose a small air bubble.
yes, I took it all apart cleaned and oiled the IACV before I reassembled the engine.
I don't think its the IACV that is causing all of this and that is because when I disconnected the IACV, idle would still fluctuate but at a smaller range from about 1300 to 1800.

than you might have a leak somewhere.. spray some carb clean around the engine and see if anything changes

any pictures of under the hood

No leaks I already checked that with carb spray.
I even disconnected the hose between the cooled air intake and the T body then blocked with my fingers the two holes in the TB and made sure the engine died (meaning there aren't any other holes allowing for air to come in).

I'll try and get some pics but it's all not to exciting for now turbo is not on yet

Well...at this point...drive it around a bit...let the engine get good and hot. See if it persists or goes away on it's own.

yea u can do what negcamber said..
well a small leak will not be enough to keep the engine running if you block off the air getting into the throttle body..
you might have air in your coolant system since you havent said if you have done anything with it
i know you have a cel for the knock sensor but you might wanna pull codes to see if you have anything other ones that might lead to your idle issue

still think you have a bad iac

btw does your temp gauge works?

I checked the water level and fallowed the honda procedure no problem there.
As for the temp sensor - I have a reading on my dash so I guss it's working but from my experience the dash is not that sensative to temp fluctuations.

I did order new a new knock sensor (not that I think it will solve the problem)
I also orderd this for scaning
Scan Tool

And I don't think It's the IACV because even when disconnected the RPM goes up and down from about 1300 to 1800.
