Idle fluctuating, car stalls when stopped
#11
Thanks for the link! They didn't have the tools so I just cut the screws and got a flat head in there. I cleaned the IAC as billman suggested, reinstalled, and now my car has a weird drone to it, vibrating alot more then usual as well. No check engine light though. I'm letting the ECU relearn as I'm typing.

If I took off the electric connection to expose the motor, is there a chance that I reinstalled it in correctly? I noticed that there was a metal tab on the motor, I aligned that tab as close as I could to the orginial position, but not exact.
The IAC didn't help, its still stalling.

I'm sorry, but is the vid a joke? You want us to help diagnose an issue, and you have music playing the whole time, and barely let the car idle. Seriously, we all offer our time & knowledge for free, please respect our time and provide useful information.
Did the IAC spin freely before you cleaned it, or was it sticky/jammed?
Drive a few cycles and then have the ECU scanned for CEL, even if no light.

Sorry, I didn't think to much when I took the video as I was trying to get to class. I just wanted to show everyone what the car was doing when I pulled to a stop.
I cleaned the IAC with carb cleaner before actually touching the rotary valve. Then I took off the electric motor to spin the rod. The rod was spinning freely at that time. I reinstalled it on the car and the car would still stall when coming to a full stop.
Ill drive a few cycles later today

Carb cleaner is rough on the rubber seal in the IAC, I don't recommend using it, I found using compressed air in short bursts can free up the rotary valve in some instances negating the need to take it apart. However, I'm not someone you should listen to.
Anyway when do the symptoms occur is it when the car is cold, when it's warmed up, will it die if you just put the car in neutral while still moving?

Symptoms happen when the car is both cold and warmed-up. The car will not die if it is rolling in neutral until the car is fully stopped. I'm going to check the map sensor next.
