Identify the cause of this noise
Tonight while driving home from work, i started noticing my car making an oscillating sort of like woo woo woo noise when going 58 mph and up. I never noticed this before.
It only happens once you hit 58 mph and up. Sounds like its coming from the left front corner of the car.
I had three theories.
One its my tire and wheel is not balanced.
Two the tire is making the noise.
Three , I hope its not this , but wheel bearing.
What intrigues me is that it only occurs after 58 mphs.
It is an 03 with 38000 miles and it has SSR GT3's 18inch wheel. The wheels where taken apart to be refinished, so thats what led me to believe balancing?
Any ideas, or experience with this? Help.
How can I rule out wheel bearing, or check to see if its the bearing.

Any one else.
I did a search, but I cant find any real pertinent info.
Wheel bearings, seem the closest explanation, except my car only does this after 58 mph, and turning does not change the noise.

if the wheel were out of balance you'd probably be able to feel the woo woo too. a Woo woo or wub wub screams wheel bearing to me. Not being able to hear it at low speeds could mean its not badly worn. I have has bad wheel bearings that made no change is noise when I turned the wheel to transfer the load. you could try to jack the car up, and see if there is excessive play on the wheel where the noise is near (push it in and out on the top, bottom, left and right).. compared to the opposite wheel.

Is it a woo woo or more of a woah wee woo? I've heard a wub wub that was entirely different than a fwump fwump before.
