Default I wrecked =[

Equally thrilled about a gorgeous Easter Sunday and the recent completion of my mods/upgrades/new parts added to the S2000 I was out all day hitting up outdoor restaurants and yes, having a couple beers. On my way home (literally less than 1/4 mile from it) I got a little frisky in an open parking lot. On my way out I stayed on it a bit too much, I over-corrected, and my car slammed sideways into one of the boulders lining the yard of the nearby business. Here are a couple pics of the damage.

and

As far as I can tell so far the only thing in the rear suspension that looks damaged is the knuckle, which snapped. I found one person locally with a parts car that has the suspension assembly, but I've looked up the procedure in the service manual and it looks like you need a lot of special tools. I don't know what to do other than woller in grief. =[

I know the body stuff will be very expensive and I can't really do any of that work myself, for now I just want to fix the suspension.

If you have any suggestions on how to perform this repair in the most cost effective manner, or have any suggestions for me on how to assess the damage, please...

Call your insurance company and read them the first paragraph of your post. I'm sure they'll be happy to help you out.

My thoughts exactly. I'm having a hard time pitying somebody who "had a couple of beers" (which usually means more than literally 2 beers) and then slung their car around in a parking lot with boulders nearby. Such is the risk you take when you don't have full coverage insurance and choose to drive foolishly. Your only real option to minimize costs is to find the needed body and suspension parts from a parts car and drop everything off at a body shop to have the repairs professionally done and pray that something serious like the frame wasn't damaged. Seeing as you appear to have an AP1 and it already has a rebuilt title, costs of repair may very well exceed the value of the car

Sorry to hear however it does sound like an expected outcome. Out drinking, obviously not very skilled at driving the S2000 and trying to slide the car around. Luckily no one was hurt and hopefully you will learn from your mistake.
