Default i think my plug isnt firing

After the whole plug backing out and the coil pack melting incident I've since replaced everything. Haven't cracked open the head yet, I'm waiting for warmer weather, but it seems like my plug is coated in gas and feels like its only running on 3 cylinders. Plus the check engine light flashes. Is it possible when the coil pack melted it shorted something out? If so what is it? Where does the wiring for the cool pack lead to? Also can I check spark by letting the coil arc to a ground? What should I arc it to?

did any part of the spark plug break off then fall into the engine?

if yes, do a leakdown test to determine whether there was any damage to the cylinder walls or valves

If you arn't positive it isn't firing pull the pack and run it. If it runs shittier then the plug was firing. If nothing changes, wasn't firing. I usually arc the coil to the block though I haven't done this on this car.

Ya the tip of the plug broke off. I also found that platinum spark tips are not magnetic so my little magnet idea was flawed. I need to buy an air compressor then I can do a leakdown. The compression test yielded 75, but that only tells me there is a problem, not what's causing it. I'm also going to check my valve retainera. I'm trying to do as much as I can before taking off the head. Im lazy and its cold outside.

Do the valves open enough for that plug tip to exit the cylinder?
