sounds like its pinging (aka killing itself). Could be any number of problems. Pinging/knocking/detonation sounds like marbles/extremely loud ticking. No bueno.

could be a clutch problem. sounds like its not grabbing in gear fast enough

I would check the plugs to make sure they're tight. You definitely don't want it to back out and melt the coil. Ask me how I know lol. Aside from that check your retainers.
