Default I know I know.....

Ok so....I've asked a bit, and am finally in the market to replace this damned clutch. The car has been up on blocks since July and I'm sick of seeing it cry. So, I've found a few clutches, yes they are ebay ones...and no I don't need ripped on for it =P I just need to get the car moving again so I can sell the 96 Accord and get myself over to Australia. Now, the ones I have found are as follows: Each is either a stage one or two. I just wanted input from fellow S2kers if they have used them, or know someone who has.

KUPP Racing
F1 Racing
XTR
XTD
AIMCO
PPC
ACS
BAHNHOF
And the cheaper EXEDY ones

Now, I just wanted some input that's all. I understand I can't tear arse as soon as I get it installed due to a break in period. It will end up being my daily driver, it is a 2000, with 60,000 on the odometer. Mods: UK Exhaust mod, with resonator delete.

Thank you for your help!

Also, my budget is no more than around $280....so I know my options are limited to the lower end of the scale.

I would put together the funds to get a ACT Pressure plate paired with the OEM clutch. Not to mention, you need to resurface your flywheel ! Do it cheap, do it twice.

I hear that Blake, but I have every intention of re-doing it. I just want it mobile so I don't have to spend 750 to get it hauled from here to Long Beach so I can get it on a ship over to Australia lol, I'd much rather drive it since I'm 100% positive it'll cost me way less to drive it there.

Just go with oem. Why waste money to put a shitty one only to replace it as soon as it gets to Australia??

If you want to do it cheap then just buy an OEM friction disc. Its like $120 from Majestic. Swap in that new disc, keeping the pressure plate and flywheel you already have. Clean everything up, grab a thing of Honda hi temp urea grease and grease up the throwout bearing, put it back together and go.

Obviously me and everyone else is just gonna say do the oem thing, its definetly the safest route to take over knock off clutches, however if you are dead set on not doing oem, I did have good luck with the XTD clutch on my 240sx. It held up fine, through track days and dding, had about 4k on that clutch when I sold the car and it still was functioning fine. Haven't heard of those other brands though. Good luck!

Ditto.

Oem disk, bearings and urea grease with a flywheel resurface will be under your budget. Done.

Measure that pp though, but it should be good.
