This is crazy.... I have never heard of this kind of stuff happening.

Maybe try attaching a mouse wheel to your belts and a blower and make a Mouse Supercharger.... Sorry that was lame.

Any type of poison could be bad - they might crawl into a recess some where and reek throughout decomposition. Another option not yet mentioned - consider glue traps (if they step on the board you own them).

I've had the same problem, something ate through my air filter in the S and my cabin filter in my Passat.

happens when you live in the "country"

I bought some animal repellant from Home Depot and you're suppose to spray it on your hood liner. i haven't tried it though for fear of the bad smell.

Click on those spooky Google ads at the bottom of this thread.

You do want to take care of it right now though. They can do some expensive damage.

I say put some cheese in your mufflers, preferably real deep in the pipes. Then when you get into your car in the morning, start the car and rev it up and fart those suckers out the back.

My wife kept dry dog food in the garage. Mice liked dog food better than the dogs did. Went to change the air filter in my Mazda MX-6. Found about a pound of kibbles in the air cleaner box. Appears the mice had a little club house there stocked heavily for a long cold winter. I suspect the little bastards were pert' near deaf from my 46 mile daily commute (assuming they rode along). I always hoped that they would climb aboard and ride to work, then get out and find themselves lost and abandoned. I pictured their little furry selves watching helplessly as I drove away on a cold winter evening. No such luck! I poisoned the little demons. Better living through chemistry!

I recommend keeping a few trays of mouse poison along the walls of the garage. I've experienced no trouble from critters since I began doing so. Thanks for reminding me to put out fresh poison before I store the S2000 this fall.
