DIESEL indicated to me he's thinking 150 bones at this point...
I have to say, I do think the hole saw to the end of the airbox and a couple PVC pieces painted semi-matte grey for $5 total cost is sounding pretty good to me too . I can use the $145 in savings to help replenish the $1500 outlay on the Mugen exhaust that's on a slow boat from overseas to me now.

So while the price might be steep, that may just be what his costs are (plus a bit extra for profit). As I said, this is custom, low-volume stuff.
When I first saw the project, I saw the plastic pieces and thought to myself:
"Self, this looks like a cheap mod ($75). Interesting."
Just goes to show what I know about fabrication of plastic parts.

The patent was $1700.00 to file and materials and labors are not cheap either. While your at it check and see what it costs to develop a mold for something like this!
