I CAN'T BLEED A CLUTCH IF MY LIFE DEPENDS ON IT!
Last thing on the list of stuff to do before the S is back on the road and I failed. After 7 months of no S2k, I was just about to get it going again but can't seem to bleed the clutch if my life depend on it!! We spent 2-3 hours and 2 bottles of DOT3.
Team of three. One person make sure that its topped off at the top, one pumps the clutch, and the other under the car release and closing the nut.
What we did was basically pump and release at the bottom nut. built up pressure with pumps and then the guy on the bottom release the nut and out comes fluid. simple enough right? Is there a special way to bleed the clutch for the s2000 or something?? The problem we were having is that there is so much play when bleeding the clutch. no pressure at all until the clutch is 70% down. We bled at least a whole bottle and still no improvement. Weird part is, when we turn off the car, the clutch would have a lot more pressure. so much that the car wont start. The car thinks that the clutch is not press in. We had to release the nut as I pump and hold the clutch in. When the clutch is pressed all the way in, the car starts like nothing was wrong. We tired doing it complete with the car off. that didn't make a difference either. we also tried flushing out the whole system and starting fresh. that didn't work either. HELP??

I think I found a solution since My front was much higher than my rear.

Did you recently change your clutch master cylinder? Try Bench Bleeding the cylinder first, that probably has a large pocket of continious air in it if not bled properly before re-installation.
Try loosening the nut in the engine bay where the clutch line connects to the reservoir and give it a good pumping of the clutch with the bleeder nipple on the clutch slave tight. Ensure that there is something catching the fluid from the line though, just keep pumping it until you get pressure back into the pedal. I did it for about 5 mins, before bleeding the slave as per norm.
Worked a treat for me!
Peace.

If you changed you master cylinder you probably need to adjust the master cylinder push rod.
Loosen the locknut that connects it to the pedal, wind it all the way out and lock it again.
Try bleed now, you will be pushing a lot more fluid per stroke of the pedal.

Follow Billman on this. Unbolt the slave, and gravity bleed! Works like a charm

The clutch cannot be bled with the slave bolted to the car. Search.
