I just recently drove 2 1/2 hours to visit my brother and hit a Cars and Coffee event. On the return trip home, about 20 miles from my place I stopped to grab a drink and stretch out, when I headed to get back on the interstate felt like what I would describe as a bit of drive train slippage, went to shift and I heard a clattering sound and had no power to my wheels, I got off to the side and tried to find the cause and could see traces of fluid here and there, drive shaft is intact, differential looks to still be in one piece, the only thing I could see under the car laying on the side of I75 was it looks passenger side axle is exposed or pulled out from differential itself, it looks liked bare metal just between the flanges the axle bolts to and the differential. Anyone might have a clue what might of went wrong, or what failed?

No picture visible, but it sounds like the axle may have separated from the differential. The inner CV joint is pretty strong, and I wouldn't expect that to fail.

Looks like one of your output shafts has separated from your differential.
It looks like the collar on it broke, or it could be as simple as a broken circular clip, or it could be worse.
Lowering does put some additional strain on that part (as your hubs will be pulling on the shaft more than if it were stock). I believe spacers are made to go between the output shaft and the CV cup to mitigate this.
The parts won't be expensive, but the labor will. A used diff may wind up being cheaper.

Thanks for link to the exploded diagram, gives me an idea of what is going on in there at least.
Something tells it won't be as simple a cclip failure, but knowing my luck it would not surprise me.
