Hypertune Intake Manifold
Well it is done. After the lengthy install (install) and the hunting idle (idle) the car is running. We finally found the air leak causing the hunting idle: On the stock TB the two bypass holes on the left should have been blocked off by the intake manifold. Turns out that when i had it bored out more literally a 1mm sliver of air was able to get by the gasket. We happend to have gasket maker around and ten minutes of cutting later the car was finally idling. We then had to attack my hood cutting a big enough hole in the webbing to clear the TB/intake. I peiced together an old intake until i get out to Cody's, I know it looks like ass but I'm going turbo in April.
As far as performance the car deffinetly pulls harder, the biggest diffirence we noticed was the sound. Having cat back exhaust and at high rpms you couldn't hear the engine anymore, just the exhaust. Now the engine screams when you get on it. I'm sorry i won't be able to get any NA dyno numbers on it until maybe possibley perhaps when i go out to Codys and dyno it before the turbo install, again thats a maybe.
Here are some quick pics, questions are welcomed:

Is there a benefit of the air filter being placed near and angling toward the exhaust?
yea man i know that intake is only temp. but you should think about some type of heat shielding from the radiator heat. It will kill your power

Biker 1 where the hell were you for the last couple of months when i had all these issues... I just can't wait to get my turbo on and see the true potential of the intake.
