Hybrid S2000 Engine?
I like to know about the possibilities to make an hybrid engine, using just Factory Honda parts.
I like to use a 2.2 engine block, pistons, etc. with the 2.0 head, cams and computer.
Also I'm not sure for what kind of transmission mods. I need.
Please send me any info.
Thank you!

possible? maybe. Honda's IMA system, with some work, can sandwich between any engine and tranny.
the only problems are that the IMA module's housing won't fit on the S. I guess one could be fabricated. the other is the ECU. that'll take an intimate understanding of the Honda's programming.

I would be willing to bet that the heads from a F20 and F22 are exactly the same anyways. The redline is a function of the computer. Honda lowered the redline due to the fact that the longer stroke (to achieve the larger displacement) causes piston speeds to increase, and therefore it is less safe to redline at 9000. I personally believe that the only differences between the F20 and F22 are the crank, rods, and pistons (bearings too). The F20c is still in production, and I imagine Honda would rather save money be using most of the same parts between the motors......
