HVAC Blower Ticking/clicking

HVAC Blower Ticking/clicking
So winter came in full force in North Carolina this weekend, so I have been using my heat now.
Out of nowhere, my blower motor is ticking as I turn it on. Higher the speed, louder and faster the clicking is.
Now, whenever I turn on my blower (fan?), I hear a ticking noise. Sounds like its right under the passenger side dash.
Does not matter whether its A/C or heater, as long as I turn up the fan switch, it makes the noise.
The higher I turn up the fan/blower, the louder it is. 1 click is barely noticeable, but even half way up I can hear it clicking over music.
My question is, before I start shelling out money, should my first purchase be a new blower motor?
Also, is there a way to check inside the blower? Maybe there is a leaf in there.
Where is the blower motor? Is it easy to remove and check inside?
A/C blows cold, heater blows hot

All original heater/AC parts
Thanks!

There's probably some trash that was dislodged and is now hitting the blower fan. It's very common. Remove the blow motor and the fan sits on top of it. It's under the passenger kick panel and is held on by 3 bolts. Comes out super easy, the toughest part is just wedging your head up there to see the bolts. Then once you've got the blower removed make sure to stick your hand up the recess and find what the fan is hitting and yank it out.

Mine does the same thing. mine didn't have any debris, just noisy as hell. replacement assembly is like $50 with shipping, so i wouldnt worry too much if debris isnt your culprit
