Default Huge trans problem

So I was driving from a friends and I heard a metal clank. Something had fallen from the ground but it was at night and I couldn't find it. Later my friend found it (sent a pic to me) and I cannot figure it out what it was but most likely a drivetrain part. It's a semi circle and thin and a hole in both ends with a long bolt through one of the holes (the other may have fallen out). Anyways, later I was driving and in 5-6th especially 6th the transmission was shaking very hard (atleast the shifter). It also made a very LOUD noise. Like marbles in a tin can. (Note I'm new to this forum and remember seeing a thread that mentions it but I can't find it at the moment). Anyways as I was driving slowly and came to a stop the transmission felt like it just POPPED AND FELL. It'd go into gear but I tried to give it gas and go and the whole transmission would shake HARD and make this very very loud noise. Imagine a rod knock but 10x louder. It could be drive shaft but I'm not sure. Anyways.. Car can't drive at all. Some strangers helped me push it into a lot and as in neutral it'd sometimes do that pop noise and shake. Any help would be great IMG_5461.jpeg IMG_2253.jpeg

It sounds like the prop (drive) shaft fasteners are backing out.

Upload photos to a free photo site like Photobucket. Then link to this (or any) website.

Here ya go! Driveshaft washer.

There are six (6) of them. Three on each end of the drive shaft. One bolt fell out long ago! I suspect there are more missing or at least loose!

Are you the original owner of the car? It's possible someone removed the driveshaft (or transmission, or differential) and did not torque the bolts properly afterwards.

Can't thank you enough Chuck! This helps a lot. Now as to figure out how to tow it to the shop. I wonder how the washer got knocked out

I am not the original owner I'm the 4th but that very well could be it. How much do I need to torque it down to? If you know

Assuming we're talking about the driveshaft bolts listed here, then it looks like only 24 lbf/ft.
