Howling sound when turning at low speeds

------CAUTION--------
You have to be careful what you read on the internet!!!
So to correct the Reverend who was correcting DocJ:
Honda S2000 Service Manual (i.e. Helm)
Page 15-3
"Precautions for Torsen Type Limited Slip Differential (LSD)"
"Torsen Type Limited Slip Differential (LSD) Operational Check"
Page 15-4
"The system uses a Torsen Typed slip differential (LSD) which is rubber maounted to the subframe".
The noise you here is completely normal for a lock to lock u-turn.

Utah - ATBD's are often refered to as LSD's. They are not. The Torsen T-2 is like a Quaife diff and is an ATBD, not a true LSD. See http://www.torsen.com/products/T-2.htm (Torsen web site) for description of how it works. Notice that Torsen never calls this differential a limited slip unit. They just compare it to conventional LSD's.
An LSD works as described on this site: http://www.club4ag.com/faq%20and%20tech/li...rential_101.htm
But thank you for your rude correction, anyway.

Here you go...
http://www.quaife.co.uk/product/atb.htm
The Torsen T-2 is identical to the Quaife, it's just not as well-made.
