Wow, even stouter (at least on paper) than the Exedy twin carbon disk clutch for about the same $$. I know Tilton used to make some nice clutches for the domestic musclecars back in the day. They were popular on the drag strips.

Didn't you have that Exedy twin disk on the for sale forum, or was it someone else? Do you have enough info to compare them for us?

Anyone who puts an 840ft/lb clutch on an s2000 is crazy.

I ran a tilton on my 350Z and it was such a pain in the ass to drive. I ended up swapping out with the ATS triple plate. The clutch in the pictures wouldn't work on an S2000 because the clutch style is different (pull type, versus push) The only way I would see that it would work is if they have some method of changing from a pull to a push type clutch....

I wonder what the total clutch weighs, as opposed to a total stock clutch.

With stock, you save weight with a flywheel change. Maybe there's more total weight to be lost here, that would be a nice mod.

The ATS S2K clutch changes from a Pull to a Push style clutch, complete with a Nissan slave cylinder.

Hi Bill. One of the advantages of a multi-plate confriguration is that the clutch can produce the same grip from a smaller diameter. The smaller diameter does as much or more than the weight reduction does when it comes to reducing the rotating mass. That's why I've been looking at the recent multi-plate offerings for the S2k. I'd really love to be able to get my F20C to rev (up or down) as quickly as a bike. I think it would be a good match for the RPSS. However, I wonder about drivability issues with a super-light (or super low rotating mass) clutch system.

Have you seen any clutches that had too little rotating mass to work properly (or well) with the stock ECU?

The biggest concern I'd have with this clutch is the engagement would be pretty rough - it's not sprung. That's fine for a racing - but not so nice for a street driven car that sees stop-and-go traffic.
