Default how to safely use test pipe?

I was wondering if there is a computer fooler module or something you have to use if you are using a test pipe. I know if you do nothing the ecu throws a code. I am not sure though if the a/f ratios will be screwed up or if the car will suffer any tipe of damage by using a test pipe. Could someone address those two subject matters? Thanks!

The only code(s) thrown from a test pipe will be emissions related. They are simply there to inform you of a failure in your emissions system. The ECU does not use the readings from the Secondary O2 for anything to do with it's fuel delivery. If you are comfortable with a CEL being on you can drive the car without a Secondary O2 properly hooked up. The are some O2 simulators that people on the board have installed but I do not beleive that there is one yet that has worked on each S2000 it was tried on. Seems to be hit or miss.

not really an issue. it's there for a reason, to meet emissions regulations. however, most say it's very free flowing but after checking it out myself, I beg to differ. The gains from removing on FI set-up are more worth it than N/A unless there are mods and aftermarket tuning in mind.

you mean by taking out the ECU reset fuse, it will not let the secondary O2 sensor work and I will have no check engine light because of it?

no, basically the reset fuse will keep resetting the ecu after each start. Only downside is a slightly shifting idle and the loss of memory for the AC defroster.

yes those are only down sides...also no beep beep when key is in ignition

I have had NO irratic idel

great mod a few hp from a dyno and lurker said so
plus save at least 10 pounds

if you live in a smog check place

plug ecu back in, put cat back on, and run about a tank full of gass..so computer remlearns things for smog check

i think its worth it

Are you sure those are the only downsides of removing the fuse? What if I run a tuned VAFC? Do step pipes smell?
