How to repair stripped transmission bolt hole?
One of the large bolts that goes around the transmission housing (feeds in from the engine side into the transmission housing) came out on my car. When I tried to put it back in I noticed that the hole seems to be totally stripped out. That is, the bolt can just be inserted all the way in without even turning it, so it seems like all the threads in the hole are gone.
Can somebody recommend a way to repair this? I was looking at the thread repair kits at the local PepBoys ("helicoil" is what I think they are called) but wasn't sure what size the bolt was, etc. Anybody else had this problem and know a sure way to repair it?
Thanks!

One of the bolts with the 17mm head? I have one that's stripped on my racecar. It's the one on the driver's side by the engine ground wire. I didn't bother to replace it. You could drill it out and helicoil it, but you've got what... 8 other bolts holding it on? I'm not losing any sleep over missing one.

Yes, one of the 17mm head ones. It fell out during an autox event last year. Just kind of bothers me because I don't want another one coming out during an event and something bad happening
Any idea what the right helicoil kit is for it? I'm not sure on the thread size, etc.
