How to remove tray under convert top ?
Would appreciate someone who has removed the tray under the convert top tell me how you did that. Someone posted it has to come out from the trunk and once you have done it you won't want to do it again, sounds like a real pain. Someone else posted he removed it from inside the car which was also a pain. I have looked closely and don't see how it even disconnected ? The purpose of removing it is to apply sound deadening material, do you think it is worth the trouble? Thanks for your help and advice.

I had mines out for about 5 months. I recently put mines back in (which was a pain in the ass) because the Convertible top would sag and rest on my amp which is where the spare tire is. Its true there is more bass from this mod if you have a sub. I would have left it out but I didnt want to chance ripping the top. There are 3 push in clips closer to your seat and 5(or4) push in clips on the outer tub. Push all of these clips in and pull out. Once those are off, go in from the trunk and hit the tray up and it should slide out. Then go in from the car and pull out the long trim that was held on by the tray.

I just finished up replacing my back window myself, and had to remove the trays, you must take out your spare tire and the middle tray section should just pop out if you unpop the clips on the back side. (4 or them) . After its loose slide it out of the spare tire hole and place somewhere. the otehr two are tricky. For each, there should be3 clips and a screw. One of the clips is located on top of the tray, and the other two and the screw are on the bottom, after that is done, manuver it around the interior and slide them out as well. After you do one, the other wont be bad, but be careful not to scratch anything cuz they are a tight fit.
