How to remove tranny companion flange

I have done this a couple ways. Pulley holder tool will how it so it can be undone or even torqued down. Or you can just use a 19mm and make sure you choose the proper gear to either tighten the crank bolt while performing the operation to the companion flange. (6th or reverse.)

AP1s are 27mm. Ap2s are 36mm.
I assume that the Honda manually states 27mm for I.D. and the OP is stating 36m for the O.D. (Socket size)

Also, Make sure to get a new seal as mine leaked right after the swap.

Isn't it odd that the manual would state the ID size for the nut vice the OD? I believe this is the first time I've encountered this situation.

The manual always specs the bolt size, not the socket size. Look again.
162 ==> 0 ==> 162 N-m (16.5 ==> 0 ==> 16.5 kgf"dot"m, 119 ==> 0 ==> 119 lbf"dot"ft)
Bottom line: is this hex nut torqued to 119 ft-lbs?
