Honda's been doing VTEC for 15 years now. I've never heard of any problems.

Honda has never had a single warranty claim on its vtec mechanisms!!

my car is an 02, with spoon throttle body and comptech cai, i can go all the way to redline in 1st, but then in second, it gos to 8, then slowly gos to 8700 then check engine light flashes, it seems like it hesitates alot after 8000 rpm i got in july it has 11000 miles, whats wrong with it!

I've never heard about that -- I'd definitely suggest you post more details in another thread so that you get more viewers and responses from those who know.

i think honda refers DOHC have "dual overhead cam"
