How to reduce "tin-can" sound (exhaust + tp)
#11
you need a resonated test pipe......like the megans.......i had a regular test pipe......and it was raspy as i dont know what.......
Then put the resonated one........WONDERFUL....no rasp! and i have a HKS exhaust. I had Stock exhaust with NO resonator....sounded awesome....put on a test pipe..NON resonated.......BEE's CAN.......then i put the Resonated test pipe on the stock exhaust WITHOUT the resonator on the stock exhaust......Went away....
So either way.....you need a resonated test pipe.

if you have a non-resonated test pipe then either use your stock exhaust or buy one for cheap and cut off the resonator so that it can be welded on to your test pipe. it will get rid of all the rasp and give it a bit deeper of a tone.
