How to prevent heat soak?
As I'm standing outside in my wonderful 90 degree weather, I'm pondering if there is an effective way to squash heat soak. Last year I was riding some crazy ass mountain freeway towards Tehachapi CA. It was about 100+ outside and I realized I was holding up a little old lady in a Prius. As I tried to shake her I found the only time I could gain any ground on her was in the corners, but on the uphill run she would be right back on me. Felt like there was no power at all! So far all I have done after that was to wrap my headers, but I'm wondering what else I can do. Anyone have any tips, tricks, guesses... please let me know!
BTW- I was kidding about the Prius part...

I'll let you know if I come up with anything meaningful!
Cool, I'll def look into that.
LOL... it's only happened twice. Car was noticeably dumbed down, which bothered me.
Hahahaaaaaa. Did I fail to mention I was driving backwards???? LOL.

Back on topic... friends tell me to go CAI, but I don't get how that would help much if it is still pulling air from outside that is in excess of 100 degrees. Been toying with the idea of installing a 12v chiller in the air box that can be switched on during the summer months if I'm planning on driving like a mad man. Unless there are some easier ways of dealing with this.

If you got K&N intake get a heat shield (similar to one moddiction sells) i am currently making my own as its just piece of aluminum sheet and small bracket so not worth paying $69 or more for it...
