If you had the money for an Enzo, you would still mod it.

I think the only car I wouldn't mod would be my beater. I feed it gas and oil, and it gets me from point A to Point B. No style points necessary

It's just that I have a brother that bought a brand new accord 21k then probably put in another 20k for go and show.

Having been down this road earlier than just about anyone on the boards -- save the other two Chris's -- and having spent a lot of time and money either fixing what I've broken or spending more money to prevent breaking something new, my take on this discussion is XViper and TMS02 are spot on. It ain't cheap. It isn't easy. And it certainly IS easy to be the expert on the basis of reading other people's posts.

Sure, you can drop a bunch of parts into the car and produce reasonably big numbers, but (i) after as little as a few thousand miles, the cheap parts wind up needing to get replaced, (ii) creating power with one set of mods requires making changes to just about every other system in the car (witness my upgraded radiator with integrated heat exchanger to cool the oil, upgraded clutch, etc.), (iii) the tuning can't be done for $350 unless all you want is wide-open-throttle bragging rights from a dyno run, and (iv) engine longevity is still largely unknown.

It's taken me two years to get my car sorted out, and I'm already in the middle of having to pull my turbo to rebuild it, after less than 10K miles.

That Bugatti is gorgeous!!!!
And at 1000hp, your right, no need to modify it!!!!

For those that have not seen it, search for it via Google. You will never look at a Volkswagen the same way, ever again!
