Yes, that chart indicates speed in each gear at 9000rpm.

XViper,

I think he meant precision. You can get to 8.25% and the gear is off by 8.27%, thus you still have an error of 0.02% (insignificant actually).

Let's clarify something here. If the car is otherwise stock except for 4.44 gears, you won't lose top speed because the car cannot get to its "geared" top speed anyway with the stock 4.10's. However, with the 4.44's, because you have an 8% HP and torque multiplication factor, the car may in fact, be able to go slightly faster than it did with the stock gears. Of course, with FI, this will not apply.

If you change your car's gearing, the revs CANNOT stay the same so the answer is NO. Going to 4.44's from 4.10's is an 8% change in gearing. Your engine's revs will thus be 8% higher in any given speed in any given gear.

ps. I hope you guys are filing this info away because if you do not understand what final drive gears do and how they work, you should NOT be considering them for your car. DON'T do this mod just because everybody else is doing it.

Xviper,

I understand that the engine revs will be different, probably I did not explain myself correctly,

I am referring to the Odometer, I do not know where the sensor that measures the revs of the car is situated

Hi XVIPER hope all is well.

What I meant with the 8.25% on the yellow box is that it can
only get that close and not to exactly 8.27%. If you add up all the switches on the box you will get 31.75%.

Got my gears from Rick's (great sevice) but my local shop wants $550 for the install!

Now Is me who have dyslexia

Once I got installed the 4:44 (next thursday, not tomorrow) the odometer will show a 8.25% more speed that it is in reality.

For example; if the odometer shows 100 mph, the real speed would be 91.5 mph, is this ok? or it is viceversa

or let make it easy does anyone know which is thew binary code in the yellow box using the 4:44

I think is this 1010 0001

This is correct. Also note that the stock speedo can be out by as much as 2%, so when you get the gears and the Yellow Box, go find a police car to calibrate your speedo. On average, after the gear install, if you dial in 10%, you are going to be very close to real world ground speeds.
