I noticed my oil level being a little low and need to add some oil. About how much will bring oil from one X to another X on the dipstick?

I forget how many x's there are, but as a whole, they represent a quart.

I'm guessing here, but I assume when the oil is below the bottom X you are a quart low. That being the case, I'd expect a quart to fill it to the top X. I suppose there's what, 6 or 7 of those X's on the stick? Doing the math (duh), my word, it does end up holding 20 quarts!

Really, probably 1/7 to 1/5 quart per X seems right. I've not had my oil go down in the first 2200 miles. It's still at the next to the top X - so, I have not gotten to test my theory. It's all reason at this point. Which means you should not pay a bit of attention to my post!

That is what pellisS2k said above, all of the x's combined equals one quart.

Add some oil...check the level....add some oil....check the level. Just don't overfill it!
