hmmm ... it's a go on the harness. i wasn't about to try my hand at the vafc without it. and i don't have the tools, BUT being that i'm military, they have an auto hobby shop on base and let me use all the tools i want for free and a bay at $3/hour.
maybe i can find someone down there that wouldn't mind making sure i do it right. tks for the advice, turbo.

Comptech has Rick's gears in stock and if you send them the assembly on core trade will be able to perform the install of the gears along with the cryo/reinforced studs.

Don't forget about dyno tuning the V-AFC. This will likely be a couple hundred bucks. You will have to take it easy on the car for a few hundred miles while the 4.57 gears break-in.

a question i posed in another thread on vafc that is worth repeating ... WHEN should i install and tune the vafc? before i install the sc? after? originally, i assumed after the sc install so i don't have to get it retuned after the changes on the engine from the sc, but i'm hearing the opposite may be what to do.
any advise?

bro, i say the same thing about the west coast. there are so many folks i'd like to meet, shake their hand, and beg them to teach me everything they know. and it seems that none of them are near enough to Tucson to do so. but i'll be in atlanta over x-mas. my dad lives in SC so i'm paying him and my sister a visit. car's not coming though, but i'll be sure to bring her back a present.
