Default how much to get new starter motor?

I thought I just posted this, but I cannot find it now.???

My starter motor broke over the weekend.... it just makes a zzzzing... noise and doesn't turn the motor over.....

I found some used starter motors for about $100 on line, but thought I would see about how much labor is if anyone has any ideas.

that way when I call around I can see if it is reasonable.

thanks
Scot

I haven't changed a starter on this car, but I've changed several on other cars. It certainly doesn't seem like a $145 job.

Remember, that top starter bolt is a bitch. There have been many posts to attest to it's difficulty.
