Default How many things can I leave out of the S2000

hey guys you might have remembered me from the crazy dude who asked about swapping an F20C into an AE86 and guess what the engine just fired up.

As always if you wire an OBDII car into an 80s chassis you'll be missing stuff. so engine check light will be on.

so what kind of parts I must address to make sure the engine doesn't run in limp mode??

as it is the cat is attached O2 sensors are in place but the following emission systems are missing:

1. air pump
2. fuel tank pressure sensor

electronics-wise:

1. ELD for the alternator
2. air-pump current sensor disconnected

car is ran on a factory honda ECU with factory everything the question is: will it run in limp mode with all these missing?? Also without the ELD will I have major charging problems?? an 80s car doesn't use all that much battery but if the car does NOT charge without it then I'm in deep shit.

thanks for ur time.

oh well I'll take it down to AJR some day and ask them about it.

I am running my car w/o a CAT and w/o an air pump. I have had no problems with it after about 3 years of driving other than the CEL which doesn't bother me.
