Why do people talk about miles per tank?

What if your gauge is off?

I get about 23-25mpg mix (with z1 tires), it was 25 rock solid with the z101 (not as sticky). Freeway is about 28.

Generally speaking I get 24-26MPG for predominate highway driving with some stop/go traffic driving.

about 20 MPG. Hit full boost and redline a lot everytime I get into my car for a drive.

Whats the point of driving the S2 like a grandma?

Not bad for a 400whp s2k.

Sticky tires don't hurt fuel economy. It's not like they're adhering like sticky tape or glue, particularly at normal street driving temps!

Sticky tires hold you back??

If i was on a trip in an area I didn't know and i ran 225 miles and had a range of 250, i'd be looking for gas for sure. The fact that i was getting 28 mpg would be meaningless, really. I already know I have 25 miles of travelling left before i need gas.

I generally get 240 to 250 miles per tank from full to when the light comes on. When the light comes on, i have about 2 gallons left.

Just wondering how many miles you all get on a full tank, approx, because im at 90 miles and im about to be at the halfway point
As with every other fuel consumption thread, depends on driving and other factors. I typically get ~20mpg city and 27-30 highway. Off the top of my head, that's very roughly about 240 per tank city and closer to 300 per tank highway.

"90 miles at around halfway" isn't really all that useful for comparison. For one thing, the fuel gauge isn't perfectly linear nor very accurate. Note how much you add at next fillup and jot down the mileage you've driven on the prior tank. It's really not that difficult. Jot the miles on the gas receipt and you have everything you need to calculate mpg for a tank.

On my S I have to fill up at 2 bars or I run out of gas, it happened to me once on the highway. I have a CTSC
You probably have a Walbro fuel pump. Put a stock sock/filter thing on that pump.
