how many miles on full tank

When I fill up after the gas light comes on, I usually put in 10.5 to 12.5 gallons depending on how much further I drive afterwords. At which point I've driven 100 (track day) to 300+ miles (pure highway during a road trip.) So without knowing more, your 90 miles at almost half a tank could be great, normal or terrible depending on what you've been doing with the car and just how much gas if left in the tank - "about to be at the halfway point" isn't very exact.
Try this - next time you fill up, reset the trip meter. Then when you refuel after that, write down how much fuel you put in the car and how far you've driven since the previous refueling. Then it's easy to calculate your mpg. Report that number and the style of driving you did during that tank, and we'll be able to tell you if your fuel economy is normal or not. As it stands, you haven't given us enough information.
In general, although S2000s do vary somewhat:
Track day = 9mpg
Consistently aggressive driving = 18 to 22 mpg
City driving only = 22 to 24 mpg
Daily commute with a fair bit of highway = 24 to 26 mpg
Pure Interstate driving during road trip = 28 to 30 mpg

Does anyone else get this problem?
On my S I have to fill up at 2 bars or I run out of gas, it happened to me once on the highway. I have a CTSC, dont know if that has to do with it. So I cant take advantage of the gas light and riding dirty for 30miles racing people with no gas.

Iv only seen my gas light like 4 times during ownership of my s2k. Can't really say much b/c it usually comes on when im on my way to the gas station. Iv only driven like 5 miles with the light on. I always get gas when its around 4 or 5 bars left, that way I never have to worry or even think about it.

Your gas mileage will vary considerably between ethenol-blended (lower energy output per unit of measurement) and non-blended gasoline. Hiway miles will also vary considerably depending on speed, altitude, top up/down, etc. I generally am able to buy non-ethenol-blended gas. In summer, I will get nearly 28mpg around town with 10% on hiway at 60-65 mph at 2500' altitude (southwestern Idaho) with top down. I commonly get over 300 miles on a full tank.
