BC, it says in your profile that you have an '06. I take it you still have an AP1 also?

It would seem this mod is slowly getting more press and is coming to light. In my mind, I consider an AP1 car with an AP2 tranny and 4.44 FD gears to be almost the perfect combination. This effectively gives you the equivalent of about a 4.6 FD ratio in the first 4 gears, while still giving you a slight decrease in highway cruising rpm compared to running 4.44 gears alone.

An stock AP2 is more like an AP1 with 4.3 FD (in the first 4 gears). So an AP1 with 4.44s will still have a wee bit more grunt, but through all 6 gears.
One of the mods messed with my profile (AE)

1st 01 then 04 now 00. (Long story)

Did you buy a brand new AP2 tranny? How much?

BC...

All you need to do is take your AP1 flange, and put it on your new AP2 tranny, that's it. This way the old flange will accept the old smaller driveshaft bolts.

Keep in mind, the vehicle speed is read from the countershaft, not the mainshaft.

You will need a yellow box to re-calibrate your speedo, or just leave it as is. It will read a few MPH higher than your actual road speed, and you'll get less speeding tickets
