If you've got a good tuner with well developed established maps, half a day. If you're starting from scratch, I'd give it about six months....

If you're serious, email Sean at Torque Freaks -- sean@torquefreaks.com -- he's expensive, but he's very good. I would strongly advise against an EMS unless you're willing to spend the money on tuning. You won't be happy with the results.

I'm sure there are lots of guys who have tuning experience, but you won't find anyone who's tuned more S2000s than Sean and you also won't find anyone who specializes almost entirely in EMS tuning. Regardless of who you pick, I'd argue that the EMS is a can of worms unless you're forced induction and even with a supercharger it's not clear to me it's worth it.

For a stock S2000, there's not much tuning needed. Here's the base map numbers...

So if you have the base maps from AEM...how much longer to tune or is it plug and play at that point?

Depends on if how close you live to UL Then again, you could always cover his airfare.

What other mods do you have? It will ultimately depend on who is doing the tuning and what kind of mods you have..

I dont trust that guy after the whole slick rick screw job I received...I'd rather find someone else and pay twice as much.

I was just thinking AEM might make more sense vs the Mugen ECU since I was going to add cams and nitrous.
