How long are people letting upper+lower rad hoses go?
My '01 has about 95k. Upper and lower hoses are original but feel ok. Nice and pliable, no cracks in close examination. But given that it would result in roadside towing if one fails, what does everyone think?

At 145K+ on my originals and still good.

I see your 145k, and raise you 153k.
Probably won't be long until someone with double the miles chimes in...

I made a point of changing mine at the 15 year mark in my 2003. I am contemplating changing them with the next coolant change this year on my 2006 solely because I really don't want to be left by the side of the road. Maybe I'm being overly pedantic.

It never hurts. These cars will run forever with preventative/routine maintenance. I'll likely do the same.

Im at 150k, one of my guys is at 305k, both original owners and original hoses.
Oil leaking on to the hoses is what will destroy them quickly, particularly the ones near the oil filter.

I lost one of the hoses on the oil cooler at ~100k (probably due to oil leaking on them) but other hoses are fine. Not going to bother with a pre-emptive replacement.

I haven’t replaced mine even though car is over 20 years old with almost 59k miles. Still feels pliable. Only hose I changed recently was the hose to the pcv. Compared to new oem one, it was stiff and not as pliable. Didn’t need to change hose.

I did mine at 85k without any issues but I love the look of the mishimoto radiator hose. I didn't need to just for looks and I would rather have a stronger newer line. You don't want to be driving one day your get a leak. It's more preventative maintenance more then anything.
I'm all about replacing stuff before it comes an issue. Then being stuck on the side of the road with an issue but that's me.
