How to install your new/aftermarket shift knob!
I was bored today, so I took the time (5 mins) to take some pics of before and after my installation of my new ARC Ti countersunk shift knob. Mods/Admins - Feel free to add this to the library or anywhere else where you feel that it's appropriate.
*Read and perform the installation at your own pleasure/risks! I will not take responsibility if you break something!*
Stock pic:
Things required:
1. New knob (duh)
2. 14mm wrench
3. Thread sealer tape
Step 1
>Take the 14mm wrench and turn it CLOCKWISE (towards you). You might want to hold the knob with your left hand and wrench with your hand. Use WD-40 if you're having trouble.
Step 2
>This step is optional. Use the thread sealer tape and wrap it around the shifter like the pics below. It might reduces the chance of the knob coming loose during hard shift. I only used it because it gives me the peace of mind.
Step 3.
>Put the new knob on. Be sure that the thread fits. Turn it until it fits snuggly and firm around the shifter. That's all, enjoy your new toy!

why does the top of your boot sit so low? meaning not right up on the bottom of your shift knob?
