How to Install Blaster Coils
#3
Any car fitted with individual coil packs (including the S2000) will not measurably benefit from aftermarket ignition systems. The stock ignition system on the S2000 is optimized.
I spoke with one of the engineers at Jacob's Electronics a few years ago (in reference to a vehicle I previously owned - also equipped with individual coil packs) and asked him if they were planning on offering an ignition system for vehicles so fitted.
He stated that all the research they had done on such applications showed minimal to no gains. Additionally, some manufacturer ECUs would register faults and attempt to compensate for changes made by an aftermarket ignition system.
In other words, it's money best saved or spent elsewhere.

Nope. Went with AEM C2DI capacitive ignition module and coil over plug Honda CBR 954 coils.
If you are not running more than 12-15 psi of boost, the stock setup is more than adaquate.
