Not sure what clips you are referring to. Under the sill panel the carpet is hooked onto a body seam. I simply lifted it up and ran the cable along there. Then I made a slip in the carpet where the seat bolts to the floor and pulled the cable out there.

Or is it better to make a cut where the ECU is only if knew where it was located then I could cut it there...
