flipping every 5k would be cool and would help keep the tread even. But if you run the hell out of them and then flip is not cool. The foot print of the will be reduced. I think if you are gonna do this then you should run a lower psi. I work at a tireshop and i have done this in the past to my s2k and it handled like crap immediatly afterward, even in a straight line. So do what you guys want but try not to wait unil last minute.
P.S. If you were worried about being economical, why the hell did you buy an S2K?

actually, since i DO have my thermo book at work -- i ran some VERY rough numbers, and i would suspect that it is Argon.
i haven't verified it, checked it, nor did my results point unquestionably to Argon, but based on the output and the claims, that seems the most likely choice. especially given that Argon is readily available as well...

Flipping every 5k is not cost effective. Flipping just before tires' half life is more economical on term of cost and minimize damages to the wheels.
Assume the outside wear down slower than the inside and if tread depth is 10/32", when the center tread went down to 6/32" and let assume that outside tread is 7/32" and inside is 5/32", then you want to flip now. When the center tread go down to 2/32", then both inside and outside tread go down to the same depth at 2/32", and it is time to get new tires.
