How do you reset the ABS light?
Recently when installing my springs we accidently stretched out the ABS speed sensor on the drivers side front wheel. I have ordered a new one but in trying to fix the old one I cannot seem to get the light to reset.
I have pulled the fuse but the light does not go on and off. I would expect that pulling the ABS fuse would turn the light on and off. Then it would go on again when rolling. I'm probably wrong about that but I just want to be sure that I have the ability to reset the warning light when I put in the new speed sensor.
Thanks

The ABS system performs a self-test on power-up. If it's noticing the damaged sensor when you turn the car on then the light will never go off. Once everything's back to normal the light should go out by itself.

Yup, but just be careful now because your ABS system will NOT work. Right now, you do NOT have ABS.
ABS is like a perfect union, and the components are the members... If the brake fluid level sensor is bad, ABS will go on strike. If one of your vehicle speed sensors are bad, ABS will go on strike. If your pressure differential switch is bad, ABS will go on strike. It's an all or nothing type of deal.
So, in traffic, slippery conditions, etc. be extra careful because you won't have ABS to fall back on.
